We live in an age of mass production and disposibility. The days of apprenticeships seem long gone and our ability to create and craft is seemingly un-nurtured from an early age.

In the last few years, we have seen a resurgence in creative past-times, partially due to the need for thrift but also due to our yearning for a higher level of quality and bespoke goods plus a desire to be or to create something exceptional and unique.

With traditional skills slowly dying away it is our aim to try and help keep some of these skills alive. Traditional skills don't have to be boring or old-fashioned, for instance, the art of hand made Trimmings or Passementerie is used widely by Fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior & YSL in many of its collections, chandeliers may be fashioned out of retro lampshades or even an Agent Provocateur bodice. Curtains with bustle kick pleats, Chanel style Corsages....design ideas that can be used to improve your home, your wardrobe or equip you with valuable skills that would allow you to create a truly unique commercial endeavour.

Our ethos...To help keep traditional skills alive and to combine them with a contemporary design approach. Students will acquire a valuable skill which when combined with real design edge will allow them to become creative stars of the future!
