Roman Blind Making

Learn how to make a professionally finished lined roman blind.

On this one day course, students will make a sample roman blind. You will be shown how to measure accurately and calculate pocket spacing and how to construct the blind using a combination of hand and machine sewing. All stitching will be demonstrated.

A basic knowledge of sewing skills is helpful but not essential. Mitred corners will be shown along with other tips for acheiving a professional finish.

Embellishment will also be discussed and how to add interest by adding borders and trims plus the use of contrasting fabrics.
